Default Seriously, Global sell spam has got to go.

Please, the only way to stop the majority of this is to give us an Auction House that spans all of the major cities / districts, but is region specific.

The time it would take to implement this would be 100% worth it if implemented correctly.

PLEASE TAKE A PAGE FROM WOW AND GIVE US AN AH!

(That's also one of the most boring things in the world -- sitting in town trying to spam trade to sell something that only 100 or so people can read at a time over a 2+ million player base)

If you have something good to sell, you'll sell it fast enough in La (and others). But agreed, if you got some average things to sell you're srewed :P

Still I'm not sure if it'll be good for A-net to copy that. With the 'search buttom' you can also search at different districts.

If guru's auction house can load faster, I won't be asking for an auction house...

An auction house sounds like a great idea. The merchant traders are rediculous, buying something for 10g and selling it for 200g! If there was a "Set and forget" auction system where you could put your items up for sale and then not worry about them until either they get sold or they pass a 10 day sale deadline.

On the other hand although I'd rather it was kept in the trade channel, I kinda like the sellers shouting about in Ascalon. It's like being in a proper market place where everyone is vying for your attention / coin. Much better than the people shouting "Join my guild, I'll pay you"!

/notsigned.

Turn off Local or Trade channel. They won't stop it with an auction house.

Hi,

I think it's only a matter of making sure that !All and Trade channels are not redundant. And it seems that an auction house would be the logical in-game counterpart to the auction forums, though it would probably bring in more spammer/scammers.

Just read this on GWiki:
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Trade
Note: Using WTS or WTB in the local channel will automatically switch you to the trade channel. It is generally considered annoying to advertise wares in the local channel.

Would be so nice to have a !All without trade spams!

When players can just drop something into an auction house there is no way they'd waste the time spamming WTS. And Auction house will stop it once everyone knows it is there.
